Arrived in BA as planned after an extremely long and gruelling flight. Immediately found two Australians who looked as confused as us at the airport and decided to share a taxi to our hostel.
We were shown up to our dormitory at about 3pm and found ourselves in a dark room with four people lying in the beds trying to endure the ridiculous heat and by the looks of it recovering from hangovers. We locked up our stuff and wandered around BA for an hour or two. Massive city, extremely hot and a lot more advanced and westernised than expected.
Since then we have partied a lot and mainly gone out at night as that seems to be the only time BA is alive. Went to a river delta one day, rode horses and canoed upstream for a few kilometres (it looked very amazonian).
After about a week we went to Uraguay for a few days just to recover and escape the city.
Came back continued the partying and are set to leave for Mendoza tonight. After Mendoza we should arrive in Santiago, Chile.

And so it begins...
Welcome to my travel blog, designed to keep friends and family up to date with Guy and my movements and experiences during our six month peregrination.
It seems logical to start with our trip itinerary to familiarise everyone with our planned destinations and dates.
16th January - Depart from London Heathrow
17th January - Arrive in Buenos Aries, Argentina
(Approximately two weeks in BA, then we travel to Chile via Bus for the next two weeks)
15th February - Depart from Santiago, Chile
17th February - Arrive in Aukland, New Zealand
(Internal flight to Christchurch. Tour of South Island, finishing back in Christchurch)
3rd March - Depart from Christchurch, New Zealand
3rd March - Arrive in Melbourne, Australia
(One month to travel up to Brisbane by Bus)
7th April - Depart from Brisbane, Australia
7th April - Arrive in Hong Kong, China
(We should be approximately one week in HK,
followed by two weeks in Vietnam
then one month in Cambodia.
After Cambodia (~early June) we move onto Thailand for the rest of the time left. The last month will be spent in the kick-boxing camp)
20th July - Depart from Bangkok, Thailand
20th July - Arrive at London Heathrow, 7.00am
So there we have it.
Stay tuned for regular updates. Comments are extremely welcome.
